Happy #WorldPorcupineDay from Pixy the Cape porcupine! One of her favorite snacks are roses. 🌹😋 Porcupines are herbivorous, eating bark, roots, tubers, berries, and cultivated crops. Interestingly, they have also been known to chomp on bones for a calcium boost. Contrary to popular belief, porcupines cannot shoot their quills, which are modified hairs. Porcupines raise the quills so as to look larger and more formidable.
