Felipe Rubio, associate director of UCSF Facilities Services, has been honored with the 2024 Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Management for managing Custodial Services through multiple challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the University to pivot in improving health and safety for the UCSF community.
His work has elevated UCSF Facilities Services nationally for its multilingual pilot program for its culturally diverse staff. “What’s most important to me is our people, our staff, and without them our researchers can’t do what they do,” he said.
The UCSF Founder’s Day Awards celebrate the outstanding service of faculty, staff and learners to the University and to our community in fulfillment of our mission of advancing health worldwide.
