My wife and son picked this up at an estate sale for $80.

My first question was “did it come with the speaker jack terminals?”

This Pioneer line had a plug type speaker connection and you need an adapter to connect speakers - or - stick the wires in and wish the best of luck.

It’s a quad 4 channel.

Anyways this is low hours. No dust inside. But channel 1 has an issue in the preamp. Channels 2, 3 and 4 fine. Proved the issue using direct amp inputs.

Sounds great. Just like the Sansui AU-555, the Sansui 771, and the Pioneer QX-747.

I will be chasing down the problem in the tone circuit - maybe the decoder circuit - not sure. But it sounds so good I actually don’t want to recap or mess with it.

Update next weekend, hopefully!
