So it turns out this is RTA viable. Often people will lose a run to GK2 or GK4 simply because the treasures, both of which are very valuable, are out of reach.
This is no loner the case. If you are unlucky enough, this still uses up time. However, it is better than getting the key if you can avoid it. If you are running on the JP version, not collecting one of these will instantly kill the run, so you must perform these backups if they are out of reach, however the run will not die simply to this RNG anymore.
They are fairly easy to execute. At most it will cost 20 seconds but during my video you see I am barely trying at times and still succeed. I highly recommend you experiment with these tricks and figure out the best angles and timings that work for you. Use this video as a guide, not a definitive method.
