I couldn't come up with a snappier name. :(

I really like this challenge. I always wanted to do it, even before noamoa's attempt on wii. It's sad he never finished the run, but that gave me motivation to do it. The wii run is much easier as you can get Libra down without yellows very easily, whereas you have to work for it on GC.

That said, this challenge wasn't very difficult as shown by how much time I had remaining in all areas in the last day I was there. The hardest was FN due to all the tricks, but even then I had a quarter of a day as free time after 2 days there.

Notable tricks/ comments about the days:
Day 1: Off camera. Grow 20 reds. Omitted for triviality.
Day 2: Immediately pellet clip to yellow onion. Kill dwarf bulborb for a blue or red pellet. Save bombs by luring and not killing the bulborb. Had to get 30 total pikmin so I could unlock FN. Collect as many parts as possible in the time.
Day 3: Breadbug sucks. Kill breadbug at base without rowing any pikmin. ADF out of the water with only 5 pikmin (went pretty average except for the last push which saved about 10-15 seconds). Bridge didn't need to be done before time ran out, but it's nice that it was.
Day 4: Get OS past the fire. Get libra down without enough yellows. Get the parts past the fire.
Day 5: If this was a speedrun, you would do this day on day 4 to avoid the sheargrubs destroying the bridge. I did this on day 5 as I was anxious to finish FN. Nothing to note here except maybe the longthrows to the Sag bridge.
Day 6: Nothing to note. Could have been omitted due to triviality.
Day 7: Walk the non blues on the OOB wall to access the Massage Machine bridge. Got lucky with a snitchbug when I went the wrong way. Complete all walls and bridges. Not much else to note.
Day 8: CR with blues only. ZR out of the water without 30 blue (gave me trouble at first but I figured out the consistent spot to lie down. I guess I can get it half the time, fast).
Day 9: I tried really hard to 2 cycle bulblax but I couldn't. The best I could d was a sloppy 3 cycle. This is because I didn't have many reds as you would have using candypops, nor did I have 100 non reds as in any%.

I think it's time to introduce some shorthand. When doing a challenge, often pikmin count and day count are important. I shall separate these with a "/" mark when writing in shorthand. Also, the order of importance will be from left to right with left being most important. Therefore the 50 pikmin 8 day completion is called the 50/8 because minimum pikmin is the constraint, and the challenge is to get fewest days. The 80 pikmin 6 day completion is called the 6/80 because minimum days is the most important constraint. If something doesn't matter to the challenge, such as pikmin number, it will be omitted. Such that the any% speedrun is also known as the "6 day" or the "8 day".

Really this challenge is constrained first by never using candypop buds, then by only growing the minimum number of pikmin to win, and finally to complete the game in the minimum number of days with these constraints. The shorthand for this challenge is therefore ncpb/50/9.
