The process of creating a pictogram begins with sketching a rough outline, like a simple stick figure. This is then refined, with a focus on simplicity, balance and clarity, gradually shaping it into a more recognizable form that can be easily understood by a wide audience.

When representing actions such as walking, the movement is broken down into a series of frames, much like in film. Each frame is scrutinized to understand how the body moves, and to identify the moment that most effectively captures the essence of the action.
