I first came across Phoebe Bridgers a few years ago, when she opened for the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park. I looked her up, thought she was cool, and the day of the concert, I remember walking in to this warm, thick sound of guitars and harmonious vocals. After that, she sort of slipped from my mind, until a few weeks ago when 'Motion Sickness' autoplayed on one of my playlists. Like any good song, it stopped me. I went back and replayed it, over and over. Time and time again, I'm drawn to songs. More than a virtuoso or a great performer or a great vocalist, a good song means everything to me. What makes a great song? Well, I've spent most of my life attempting to figure it out, consciously or unconsciously. In any case, here's a song I fell in love with.
