This is a continuation of my attempt to explain the autonomy of biology as a science. In functional biology there are physical explanations. Evolutionary biology is a historical science and gives good scientific explanations which are no less scientific than the physical explanations.

On the way I describe how the sophisticated theologian John Haught tries, unsuccessfully, to sneak in the god explanation for the phenomena in the world in his debate with the biologist Jerry Coyne:
