Philippine Air Force to receive 6 Hermes 900 UAS
In a recent publication of the Philippine Air Force’s “LEAD ONE TODAY” e-newsletter published on June 15, 2020, the Philippine Air Force revealed the expected arrival of two (2) Unmanned Aerial Systems composed of six (6) Hermes 900, Ground Control Station, Ground Data Terminal and other support equipment.
The Philippine Air Force said the unmanned aerial system will further boost the Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) coverage in the entire country.
According to Elbit Systems, the Hermes 900 features over-the-horizon, persistent multi-mission, multi-payload capabilities with a class-leading payload carrying capacity of 350 kg. Hermes 900 is capable of performing missions for area dominance and persistent ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance) missions.
Elbit Systems Ltd. is a developer and supplier of a broad portfolio of airborne, land, and naval systems and products for defense, homeland security, and commercial applications.
