On today’s adventure, we’re tracking down one of Arizona’s most mysterious and underrated rattlesnakes—the Arizona black rattlesnake (Crotalus cerberus). Last time we were in Arizona, we failed to find this elusive critter, but we're back, and we're not giving up. Found only in the high-elevation habitats and cliffsides of the southwest, this montane rattlesnake is known for its dramatic jet-black coloration, which helps it blend in to the shadows.
