Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode
“Defiant”. Interview with the director Visa Koiso-Kanttila, interviewer Karin Martinson.

This dramatic and distinctly Scandinavian film tells the classic story of a teenager who is different from everyone else. The audience follows the protagonist, Vilma, as she is drawn into a spiral of events that help both her and the viewer understand themselves better and reflect on broader societal issues.
Finnish director Visa Koiso-Kanttila is best known for his documentaries “Portrait of a Man” and “Father to Son,” which explore themes of family, masculinity, parenthood, and relationships across different walks of life. “Defiant” is the director’s second full-length feature film.
