Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival brings you "Meet the Filmmakers" episode

French-Irish filmmaker Alexander Murphy, known for his short documentaries “Of Soul and Joy” and “Ndao Hanavao”, is an emerging voice in contemporary documentary cinema. His work is defined by empathy, poetic visuals, and a deep curiosity about human stories and communities. At this year’s PÖFF, Murphy presents his first feature-length film, “Goodbye Sisters” — a both heart-wrenching and uplifting journey following two Nepalese sisters in the Himalayas. It’s a story of family, responsibility, and inner strength. The film has its world premiere in the international competition program of Doc@PÖFF.

Murphy esitleb selle aasta PÖFFil oma esimest täispikka filmi “Goodbye Sisters”, mis viib vaataja Himaalajasse kahe Nepali õe teekonnale. See on üheaegselt helge ja südantlõhestav lugu perekonnast, vastutusest ja sisemisest tugevusest. Maailma esilinastus toimub Doc@PÖFFi rahvusvahelise võistlusprogrammi raames.
