I collect the Bianco 5 Shine without the A button, using only the Spray Nozzle.
Contrary to any playthrough of this Shine ever, you want Petey to start a tornado before anything else, so you can get in a high place and later ground pound him, and I was only able to do that in the spot near the Hover Nozzle Box. So it's mostly just about waiting for Petey...

I collect the Noki 1 Shine by pressing the A button 9 times, using only the Spray Nozzle.
So I was wondering how many A presses it would take to beat the game hoverless. I talked about it with the rest of the ABC crew, and we quickly came to the conclusion that most levels would require pretty low amounts… except for Noki Bay. It’s the biggest A press sink in any%, it’s all about climbing up, and if you can get to the other nozzles you’ve already had to climb all the way up. Basically it’s Sunshine’s equivalent to SM64’s Tick Tock Clock.
So yeah, currently Noki 1 hoverless takes 9 A presses, although I feel like the last one can be saved.

I collect the Bianco 10 Shine without pressing the A button, using only the Hover Nozzle.
Since the Hover Nozzle is required to reach the Shine anyway, I use it to help with the movement, both inside and outside the secret area. Pressing the red switch really is the toughest challenge to overcome this time, as I collect the 8 red coins with about 20 seconds to spare.

I collect the 100 coin Shine for Bianco Hills without pressing the A button, using only the Spray Nozzle.
There are more than enough coins that can be easily obtained without A or the Hover Nozzle in the main area, but the Shine spawns on a fairly high platform that can hardly be reached, even with the Hover Nozzle.
But what if we could spawn the Shine somewhere else? Well, we can! Entering a sublevel doesn’t reset the coin count, so we can collect almost 100 coins, then get the remaining coins in a sublevel, hopefully spawning the Shine in a more convenient place.
Unfortunately, the Bianco 3 secret area is unsuitable because barely any of it is available hoverless and without A, and so is the Bianco 6 secret area, because there are no coins in it. However, the first Petey boss fight takes place inside the windmill, which counts as a sublevel, is entirely navigable within our constraints, and Petey’s Goop sometimes spawns Piranha Plants, which can be killed for 3 coins each!
So I collect 97 coins in the main area, stun a Pondskater in a strategic spot, ground pound a lilypad, dive from it as it bobs out of the water for extra height, bounce off the stunned Pondskater onto the windmill, ride the platforms up to Petey, let him spit out Goop, kill a Piranha Plant, get all three of its coins, and collect the Shine as it spawns just above the ground. (And it’s still faster than my Bianco 5 video!)

I collect the Bianco 9 Shine without pressing the A button, using only the Hover Nozzle.
Since I need the Hover Nozzle to save A presses inside the secret area anyway, I can also use it outside to navigate the stage faster than in my hoverless videos. Inside the secret area, the biggest challenge (besides pressing the red switch) is to get the coins on time, as the platforms at the beginning each require hovering for a few seconds and slowly getting up the ledge.

Collecting the actual Shine was always the main issue, since it’s always possible to collect any number of coins, enter a secret stage, exit area, and repeat until the Shine spawns.
As it turns out, the flooded plaza has a different spawn location for the 100 coin Shine than any other version of the plaza: instead of spawning on a remote platform in the middle of the sea, it spawns above the Pianta statue.
Not a whole lot better, unless you know about framewalking: by holding the stick in a direction and releasing it the next frame, Mario can walk up slopes that he would normally slide off of. We can use that to walk up the statue’s cape and reach the Shine.
But there’s another catch: during the flood, the statue’s cape doesn’t actually reach under water, so we can’t swim onto it or ledgegrab it. The only other way is to triple bounce-dive off of Piantas sitting on the nearest roof, but that puts you in a sliding state where you can’t framewalk.
This is where I stopped a few months ago, but I recently realized that all it took was sliding off and back onto the cape to cancel the dive. Derp. Anyway, since most of the coins in the flooded plaza require water to spawn, our options are pretty limited and we were only able to get two coins, meaning the full version of this would take 50 trips in and out of the plaza, and about an hour and a half.

This blue coin was listed as requiring the Rocket Nozzle on the ABC spreadsheet, until today, when Grégoire pointed out that we could just infinite ground pound to it. On its own, this doesn’t save an A press since we still need the rocket in Ricco 4 reds, but there might be something to do about that too.
The infinite ground pound is pretty bad for horizontal movement, since each repetition only lets Yoshi move for one frame, between the two L presses needed to make Mario ground pound back onto Yoshi and Yoshi ground pound in turn. The best option during that frame is to move sideways, since the stick directly affects sideways speed, whereas it only controls forward/backward acceleration. But we still don’t get very far.

Getting the coins in the trees at the beginning without the Hover Nozzle was pretty hard. The only thing that could go wrong in the Sand Cabana was to get the blue coin (which would have required a save, thus an A press). Then it was just about getting coins from the watermelons and Cataquacks.
