Like the look of the game? It's available for free @ itch.io @ https://blake.so/?l5d91 or unrobotic.com/prospector. Played it? Like it? Think it's weird? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
Something a little different for this Saturday!
Back in 2020 I spent a week or two making Perilous Prospector, an homage to retro gaming. Here's the soundtrack that I orchestrated for the game, blending classic symphony with retro zx-spectrum blippage. Want to know more? You can read the development log over at itch.io (https://blake.so/?l7acf) or take a look at the assets and videos over on my site (https://blake.toys/entry/manic-miner-3d).
Chapters
00:00 - Title screen (Blip Danube)
01:49 - Level music (Hall of the Mine-tain king)
04:39 - Intro (Grieg-bit)
04:55 - You win (Lala Danube)
05:26 - Time trial (Mine-tain countdown king)
For those curious, the orchestral elements in this track are almost exclusively Spitfire's "Symphony Orchestra", a product I've worked on now for almost 10 years. We recently re-released it last year in a new fancy all-in-one package.
