An ephemeral exploration of gender, sex, and relationships through word, light, and sound as told by the celestial bodies of the universe.
As the performers personify these non-binary entities, they propose a future where our earthly forms derive meaning outside of polarity, and instead align with the fluidity of the cosmos. Realizing this future forces a necessary rewiring of social beliefs that rely on the constructs of the binary. With this new perspective they are called to revolutionize our treatment of humanity through social, political, and economic models.
This performance continues CAMH’s legacy of showcasing new performance work within the gallery space. Cell Lust | a body will be presented in conjunction with the exhibition Stage Environment: You Didn’t Have to Be There.
