Tour of the two pepper variety plots we are growing this year. Both are to test different varieties for suitability to our conditions, and for producing dried hot peppers. One trial is of New Mexican Landrace chili peppers, Cañoncito, San Juan Tsile, Isleta Pueblo, Chimayo, and Tarahumara Chile Colorado.
The other plot is a group of open pollenated and hybrid Ancho/Poblano type peppers and some other Mexican drying pepper varieties. Negro de Valle, Poblano, Ancho Gigante, Ancho, Tiburon, Mosquetero, Crimson Hot, and Chilhuacle Negro.
Seeds were acquired by trade with other growers, and from
