So this is a video I honestly didn't think I'd be making, but here we are.
A woman was spotted bringing a baby in a stroller into a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. And look, I get it, parenting is hard, life is complicated, and HHN can be a tricky event to plan around if you have little ones at home. But this is a 21 and up recommended, adult-oriented horror event with intense scares, strobe lights, loud noises, and content that is genuinely not appropriate for babies or young kids. And yet, there she was, stroller and all, rolling right through a haunted house.
This isn't just about one person making a questionable call. It raises a real question that I think the theme park community needs to have an honest conversation about. Should Universal be doing more to regulate what happens at this event? Should haunted houses have a hard rule about strollers and infants? Where does personal responsibility end and where does policy need to step in?
I'm not here to pile on anyone or make this mean spirited. But I do think we owe it to ourselves, and honestly to kids who can't advocate for themselves, to talk about this openly and figure out where we all stand.
Halloween Horror Nights is one of the best events in all of theme parks. It deserves to be protected, and so do the littlest guests who have no say in where they get taken.
