Peikko PETRA - Support for Hollow-Core Slabs for Floor Openings.
PETRA is a product to support hollow-core slabs around floor openings. Creating larger openings in such floors traditionally requires the casting of a reinforced concrete beam to support shorter slabs around the opening. To be able to cast such beam, the short slabs have to be propped during installation. These additional operations can be avoided by using Peikko PETRA, since it is designed to support short slabs without propping even during assembly time. Slabs can be installed fluently at the same time with other slabs of the floor.
PETRA is also a perfect companion to the DELTABEAM system when there is a need for openings in slim deck construction.
