This precast concrete frame construction case study shows how a full building structure in Shanghai was completed in just 12 days with only 8 on-site workers.

The S7 Shanghai Highway Administration Office project was a real-world pilot demonstrating how European bolted precast technology performs at Chinese construction scale. In this video, we document the erection of an entire prefabricated building structure using Peikko’s bolted precast frame system—focused on results, not theory.

The case study follows the structural frame installation from delivery to completion. Precast columns and beams were connected using bolted connections that allowed immediate load-bearing capacity, fast alignment, and predictable sequencing. With no need for extended curing delays or complex temporary works, the structure advanced rapidly floor by floor, achieving full frame completion in just 12 days with a site crew of eight people.
