For “Sisters,” Peggy Lee performed a one-woman duet using the magic of double-tracking, an innovative technique at the time, on her 1954 Decca recording of the song for ‘Selections from @IrvingBerlin’s White Christmas.’

In one of the soundtrack’s most delightful highlights, she manages to create two distinct personalities while harmonizing in perfect unison (a vocal technique she would perfect the next year for “The Siamese Cat Song” in Disney’s ‘Lady and the Tramp.’)
