This deliciously decadent Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate will be a welcome treat in those cold winter months or heck any time you get a sweet tooth.
One of my subscribers asked for a protein Hot Chocolate and yeah I could have gone the protein powder route but that's a bit overdone and in fact I think I've already done it. I also wanted to add just a bit more fun and flavor to the Hot Chocolate so I decided on Peanut Butter. Packed with protein but also brings in that creamy, saltiness factor that plays so well with chocolate. I'm only using 1 tablespoon in my recipe but to bump this up a few notches you can of course use another tablespoon just make sure to factor in the calories and fat with whatever diet plan you might be following.
Now I used Almond Milk in this recipe but please feel free to use whatever type of milk or milk substitute that you'd prefer.
For our sweetener I chose to use Coconut Sugar. This is a sugar I just started working with and I have to say I'm in love. It has a rich, nutty flavor and is versatile in the fact that you can use it to replace both white and brown sugar in your recipes. The health factor to using Coconut Sugar is that it is low glycemic so it's perfect for anyone who is diabetic and also for those trying to watch their weight.
I went the route of making my Hot Chocolate from scratch but don't let this scare it. It's actually super easy. All you need are just a handful of ingredients and a few of those are just the fun toppings but the drink it's self are literally 4 ingredients and after that it's all about just getting them into a small saucepan, heating and stirring.
So please put away the powdered packets of Hot Chocolate and if you guys are ready...let's get started!

Unsweetened Almond Milk 30 Calorie
