Arms Open Wide by zircon featuring Jillian Aversa (vocals), from the album Identity Sequence. Female vocals drive this house / vocal trance EDM track which uses airy and light melodies, chords, and synthesizers to create a dreamlike and innocent mood.
Identity Sequence is an electronic concept album inspired by science fiction novels and anime, specifically cyberpunk like Ghost in the Shell. It was funded on Kickstarter in 2012 and released the same year, The style of Identity Sequence could best be described as organic electronic dance music. It is my own interpretation of the interaction between man, machine, and environment - how our emotions and actions change and shift through technological advancement, and how they stay the same. More specifically, its progressive trance, dubstep, drum and bass, breakbeat, atmospheric downtempo, and many other highly rhythmic electronic subgenres rolled into a cohesive body of songs that is meant to be listened to from beginning to end in a single session.
ABOUT ZIRCON: zircon (Andrew Aversa) is an EDM / electronic music producer, remixer, and game soundtrack composer. He has released over a dozen albums and soundtracks in styles ranging from breakbeat, big beat, dubstep, and drum n bass, to epic orchestral, atmospheric, chillout, and vocal trance.
