In this tutorial i show you a simple way to convert PDF documents to plain text.
The process described in this tutorial is capable of converting one or many PDF documents to plain text all at the same time and saves the new text files with the same name as the corresponding PDF document.

The tool used is called pdftotext and can be found in the poppler-utils package.
If you don't already have the tool installed on your system you can easily add it by typing:
sudo apt-get install poppler-utils (Ubuntu / Debian)
