Anaerobic digestion is the process by which waste products can be converted into methane and biosolids. This technology has the potential to help reduce waste, produce energy, and produce a valuable end product, all while being carbon neutral. Steve Pugsley will discuss examples of this technology, where it has found success, and where it will be expanded in the coming decades.
Pugsley has over 30 years of experience in sustainable urban and regional planning, zoning and economic development at the regional, county, city and township level. Prior to forming Midwest Renewable Energy, LLC, Mr. Pugsley was Director of Economic Development for a region in Michigan,
And co-founder and Vice President of Procurement Technology International. Mr. Pugsley received his Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Iowa State University, is a Licensed Professional Community Planner (PCP), national registration in the American Institute Certified Planners (AICP) and is a graduate of the Seaside Institute Course on New Urbanism taught by Andres Duany and affiliates.
