The single most common mistake beginner PCB designers make is trace spacing — routing signals right at the manufacturer's minimum clearance simply because it's allowed. In this clip you'll see why importing your fab's capabilities into Altium Designer's Design Rules is only step one, and why hugging those minimum clearances is a trap that quietly hurts your board.
Pack traces too tightly — think a microcontroller's ADC lines running side by side at minimum spacing — and two things bite you: you're sitting right at the edge of the manufacturer's capabilities (lower yield), and you invite crosstalk as adjacent signals couple into each other. The fix is simple: if you have the room, use it. A solid rule of thumb is to keep at least 3× the dielectric thickness between traces, and you'll cut crosstalk dramatically without ever touching your stackup.
