After a bit of a lull in robust severe weather, a pattern change may bring a return to unsettled weather to a broad swath of the US this week. Our stubborn southern US ridge is forecast to breakdown, replaced by a more active jet stream that looks to increase the chances of severe weather by midweek, perhaps continuing into the end of the week and beyond.
