University Cooperation for Net Zero on Campus (UNICO) is an Erasmus+-funded project supporting universities in accelerating their transition to net-zero campuses through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing. To introduce the project, Patrizia Lombardi, Vice Rector for Sustainable Campus and Living Lab at Politecnico di Torino, highlights how universities have a responsibility to lead decarbonization efforts and how engaging local communities is key to achieving net-zero goals.

About the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN):
The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) was set up in 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. SDSN mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
