It’s Tuesday and I’m currently staring at my computer screen with fake files up pretending to be working. What am I really doing at my desk? Listening to music of course and daydreaming of the next festival I’ll be attending with my friends. For me, that festival will be CRSSD in sunny San Diego. A 21+ over event and a lineup stacked with tech house and techno, it’s an adult playground who’s arrival I’m patiently awaiting. In order to get through these next 102 days until the festival, I’ll be bumping both new and old techno nonstop.
One song that never fails to make me want to just get up, quit my job, and start dancing is “Be Sharp Say Nowt” by Patrick Topping. If you haven’t heard this song before, you're in for a treat. And if you haven’t heard of this DJ before, you’re in for an even sweeter treat.
Since entering the scene in 2012, Topping has released countless records, produced many number 1 hits, and won several DJ awards. Originally from England, the 30-year-old legend climbed to fame in his hometown of Newcastle only to eventually play festivals such as Tomorrowland, Coachella, and Awakenings. Currently, Topping has been one of the most in demand DJs for lineups globally, throwing down one of the finest sets of the weekend at wherever he plays. After countless records released on popular labels Relief and Hot Creations, Topping took his brand to the next level and created his own label TRICK, where he’s released his latest track “Watch What Your Doing”.
Although not on the CRSSD Fall 19’ lineup, Topping will surely be getting me ready for my retreat back down South!
