The Moth is a national storytelling competition that hosts storytellers all around the United States every month in StorySLAM contests, where they each tell 5-minute stories, without notes, for the first time. If you win a StorySLAM, you are invited, with 9 other storytellers, to compete in The Moth's GrandSLAM contest, where a larger audience in a fancier venue judges your slightly-longer-than-5-minute story against everyone else's.
