I had intended to finish this video and put it up yesterday - but I had quite a bit of work stuff to finish up, so... a day late, but I got it done!
This is for StarkQueen's OCtober prompt list. Yesterday's prompt was "star crossed" and I decided to vid Ari and Stone from by book "The Merging".

This is an actual book, that is going to be (self)published very soon. The video does not cover the entire story of the first novel (it is a duology), but if you don't want to be spoiled at all, maybe do not read through the full story description below :)
STORY
After an event called "the Merging" happens, causing two worlds (Earth and another) to become one, the world ends up in a state of chaos. Run by the ruthless GODCA regime, anyone who voices support of the beasts brought over to Earth from the other world is locked up in a Recreation Center forever. Ari is desperate to find her missing father and manages to use various underground networks in London to find information about his whereabouts. One evening, she runs into Stone, whom she realizes is a Draco - a member of the rebels.
When Ari goes to Amsterdam, she finds herself hunted by GODCA - and saved by the Dracos. She is brought to their underground headquarters and confronted by Stone once more. After spending some time with the rebels, she manages to get a place on a team going to the surface. As they leave, Stone runs into the room and tells her to run.
After their mission ends up exploding a neighborhood in Frankfurt, Ari is saved by a Blacktail dragon. It brings her to Paris and the last known adress of her father's. Instead she finds an operative of the Dracos. She is later caught by GODCA and brought to a Recreation Center. GODCA interrogates her on the whereabouts of her father and the Dracos, then tortures her when she claims to not know.
Meanwhile, Stone and the Dracos plan a heist to free all of GODCA's captives across the world. Stone is a member of the team that rescues Ari and brings her back down below. She is conflicted regarding her feelings towards the Dracos and Stone in particular - and then watches through a hacked camera as Stone collapses.
