At a time when both natural ecosystems and human infrastructure are under pressure, how can we make roads safer for people and wildlife? The Northeast Habitats and Highways video series dives into this critical question. Developed in collaboration with transportation and fish and wildlife agencies, the five-part series highlights the growing field of road ecology—showcasing innovative wildlife crossing projects, expert insights, and successful partnerships across the Northeast. These videos aim to raise awareness, spark creative solutions, and encourage collaborative planning to reconnect habitats and protect lives on both sides of the road.
This is the fifth and final video in the five-part Northeast Habitats and Highways series. It discusses strategies for ensuring long-term success, including the many ways partnerships are improving projects and spreading knowledge.
