PolyToots | [Part 2] Burning + Dissolve Shader in Unity. @PolyToots | Uploaded July 2018 | Updated October 2024, 5 days ago.
In this Unity shader tutorial, we're taking a look at advancing the dissolve techniques you may have already seen, by creating a material that can burn any object, and then disintegrate it into nothingness.
In this second part we're covering the the burn itself and also the heatwave distortion effect.
We're using Amplify Shader Editor for this, but if you're using Shader Forge or even the new Unity Graph system, you should be able to follow along just fine.
The final part of this tutorial is coming soon, that's a pinky promise.
