I guess this video was destined to happen after all the times I referenced Stryder7x in my titles...
This glitch was found while testing for Pikmin disappearances during the filming of this video:

By crushing your Pikmin and using a geyser (or delving deeper) before the Pikmin die, they appear paper-thin in the following cutscene. The effect does not last, and they don't die/disappear.
I also accidentally found a glitchy extinction in this video. I was able to delve deeper immediately after all of my Pikmin died, leading to an extinction immediately on the final floor.
At the end I show the luckiest Frontier Cavern 4 layout I've ever seen. Fun fact: the layout was bad for me because I needed a purple candypop bud when I filmed that.

Edit2: It seems that if I hesitated a little longer after getting an extinction in Frontier Cavern later in the video, then I would have gotten a crash, as demonstrated here: youtube.com/watch?v=11mPwK5ayGs
