In this challenge, all I can use is the control stick and the A-button. This means no whistling, no switching captains, no disbanding, no napsack, no sprays, no C-stick, no camera, and no pausing.

In this video, I'll be finishing everything there is to do aboveground in Perplexing Pool, and I will finish Citadel of Spiders. The aboveground stuff is the highlight of this video.
At the very start, I execute a strat that's very reminiscent of Pikmin 2 strats from a long time ago, such as during Claris Robyn's old Segmented run: youtube.com/watch?v=jhxAnG7Gh0s&t=120s
I throw my Pikmin on the nearby ledge, and I execute scale glitch so that I can fall OoB and land on the ledge behind the ship. Note that there is a much better way to clip underneath the scales using the napsack, as demonstrated here: youtube.com/watch?v=nAbt2JJjL3w&t=2h4m6s
Regardless, this allows me to skip destroying the wall that leads to Onion Replica, which I think was necessary for completing Perplexing Pool on this day.
One thing that I didn't mention in the video is that at the start of the day, Gherkin Gate was actually too close to the ship for me to execute scale glitch. However, for some reason, it got further away when I exited Submerged Castle! I am extremely fortunate that this happened.
I do a well-known momentum throw to let blues destroy the plug on top of Shower Room. However, one thing that I found interesting is that the wogpoles don't spawn anymore! They are normally swimming around Shower Room, and they are extremely annoying, since blues prioritize attacking them instead of the plug.
Other than that, I do some clean-up. I kill a few shearwigs, collect the remaining treasures, and destroy the electric gate that leads to Shower Room. I actually don't have to destroy the electric gate... there are 2 ways around it. I could do scale glitch again and maneuver around the map, or, I could use this trick, found by HSS0136: youtube.com/watch?v=B3ofhF82GB4
However, it would be annoying to bring a large squad of Pikmin with me to Shower Room, since I'd probably have to throw them to the side and bump all of them.
Afterwards, I complete Citadel of Spiders. Entering a cave makes the other Pikmin on the map go back to their Onion or the ship, so this was the optimal time to do this cave. There's actually not too much going on in this cave, there's nothing that a decent squad of purples can't handle, and I already did sublevel 5 on day 30. I did find sublevel 4 to be relatively hard, however. Regardless, tune in next time for Shower Room!
