A continuing transition from chapter one to chapter two. Peach has decided to get into a little mischief, but I don't blame her... especially since Bowser is holding her against her will. Do you think reading someone else's diary is justifiable under this circumstance?

On a side thought, Valentine's day (or less commonly called Saint Valentine's Day) is tomorrow... but is it a real holiday? Or is it just something the "card companies" made up? What do you think?

From what I can tell, it originally was a holiday celebrating Christian martyrs, who just so happened to be saints and to have the name Valentine. (A martyr is someone who suffers persecution, and death, because of refusal to deny or accept a belief of some sort. This mostly deals with religious beliefs.) Anyway, as it turns out a man by the name of Geoffrey Chaucer, an English poet from the Middle Ages, started up the idea of sending gifts to those you hold in high regard on Valentine's Day. This all being around the time when the idea courtly love was flourishing. It eventually evolved into what we know as Valentine's Day today, being less about courtly love and being a lot more direct about how someone feels about someone else.

Thus ends my history lesson for today. There will be a test on Wednesday so make sure to stu- oh wait... you aren't my class of students, never mind. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day, especially to those who don't have a sweet heart yet, like myself. ;D
