This is Session 11 of the Club of Rome International Conference in Buenos Aires on thought and action: the path to regeneration, focused on practical cases around ecosystemic regeneration and territory. The panel debates on agroecological and territorial management approaches that allow the transformation of production systems towards regenerative models capable of restoring soils, biodiversity and rural economies.
About the panel:
Andrea E. Izquierdo is a researcher at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Plant Biology (IMBIV), CONICET, and the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. She leads a transdisciplinary research project focused on the socioecology of the Argentine Puna. Currently, her research centers on the environmental and social impacts of anthropogenic pressures such as climate change and lithium mining, with an emphasis on incorporating the knowledge of local communities into decision-making and promoting a just energy transition.
Carlos Briceño Fiebig is Co-founder, Director of Innovation, Camina Consultores, Global Initiative for Regenerative Tourism. He is a facilitator, consultant, and instructor with 20 years of experience, specialising in strategic design, planning, management, development and innovation in Sustainable Tourism. He has worked on Collaborative Strategic Destination Design and Planning, Territorial Innovation Agendas, and collaborative training for Sustainable Tourism business clusters. He has also co-created projects, networks, and associations for Sustainable Rural Tourism, and has worked on Innovation and Technology Transfer projects, and since 2012, on Regenerative Tourism. He has provided consulting services for the design of teacher training programs at universities such as PUC, UCI and UNSAM, and for regenerative strategic development in leading ecolodges in Latin America and Europe. He has worked in internationally renowned destinations such as Easter Island, San Pedro de Atacama, Torres del Paine, Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Bizkaia, Spain, among others.
Lucas Garibaldi is Principal Investigator at CONICET and Director of the Institute of Research on Natural Resources, Agroecology and Development (UNRN), CONICET - Universidad Nacional de Río Negro. With a strong commitment to training new professionals and developing skills, he has participated in the creation of research institutes and technology-based companies. A central part of his work involves strengthening the connection between science and action, science and policy, as well as promoting rigorous and accessible public communication of knowledge.
Pablo Borrelli holds a degree in Economics and is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ruuts. He has spent over a decade developing impactful business models to scale regenerative livestock farming in the region.

Alejandro Jurado, Executive Director and Co-founder of La Ciudad Posible Latam. He is an urban ecologist, with a Master's in Territorial Development (UPC, Spain). Advisor to the Habitat and Development Foundation.
