The Last Adventurer | Palmetto - the easiest ghost town to explore in Nevada! @TheLastAdventurer | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
As it is the "silver state", Nevada is full of the ruins and remnants of many mining ventures, many of which can now be explored. While many of these can be casually visited, the easiest ghost town to visit is the ruins of Palmetto, located right of NV-266 between Deep Springs and Lida. Because of its remote location, however, Palmetto is relatively well preserved. For those that want to stretch their legs while driving into or out of Nevada, or for those that want to appreciate the historic town that was founded in 1866, and re-founded in 1906, Palmetto is a great start to experience Nevada's mining history.
