Palace: First couple did not hold birthday party amid floods

"Hindi Ito kasagsagan ng baha." Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the first couple did not celebrate the birthday of First Lady Liza Marcos in the midst of the severe flooding brought by the Southwest Monsoon, or “Habagat”.

Castro said Tuesday in a press briefing that “obstructionists” were spreading the story that the first couple had organized the party while many regions of the country were flooded.

It can be remembered that Atty. Harry Roque went on social media to criticize the first couple for holding a birthday party, claiming it was held while some areas in the country were flooded.
