When it comes to weathering model railroad track I like to use an airbrush. Airbrushing track is easy and a good place to start for beginners. It is also the most efficient way to paint model railroad track when using fast drying acrylic paints. Another added bonus is the airbrush leaves a soft blending transition. Furthermore, the airbrush also allows thin coats of varied colors which helps to achieve greater realism.
