In this video I'm taking you to one of the most beautiful places in Scotland (in my opinion). I brought along my plein air watercolor kit to capture some of the beauty, and then painted it again with gouache back at home. This was such an important time for me. After a really difficult May, I needed to go somewhere that would almost shock me back into my body and artistic mind. I definitely got that by visiting Glencoe in June. The colors and mood were incredible. We spent time by the river swimming, snacking and I painted a little waterfall scene which I will paint again in the studio. I also really wanted to paint the green fields because they haunt my memory (in a good way). I'm sure you'll see plenty more paintings inspired by this trip!
