I mean, the excavator is big, but it's nowhere near as big as my shop. So how bad could painting it be? Answer: bad. There's nowhere near the same surface area, but there's a lot more prep with degreasing, rust converting, and priming. Plus there is so much detail work with hoses, brackets, pipes, cylinders, etc. It took 2 full weeks. I still don't know how it took so long, but it did. But even so, the results came out pretty good I think!
