This storage chest was a challenging project even though it looks simple enough. I made it more difficult by lowering the cabinet bottom 2" to maximize storage capacity. Typically it lines up with the lower trim piece I put on to hide exposed screws but doing the bottom this way I have to use lots of pocket hole screws and assembly is more complicated. Also, I used really poor quality 1x6 tongue and groove pine because I thought I had enough wood but it was all leftovers from other projects and warpy. This makes building even something simple much more difficult. oh well its done now. I will have plans for this available for download soon. mitchellrudman.com
