Pacific Ocean storms up and down the California coast stretched into the southern/central Oregon coast bringing huge exploding waves to the best storm watching area on the West Coast... Shore Acres, State Park, near Coos Bay, Oregon. December 2023.
It is often quite damp at Shore Acres! Having lost 3 expensive cameras to water over the years, I now just use an iPhone for capturing wave activity at Shore Acres. This video was shot entirely with an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Regarding the cameras I lost... I was always very meticulous about protecting my cameras. But, one small "slip" and you can wave goodbye to a couple thousand dollars!
