"...when your good isn't good enough..."

This is my entry for the second round of The Favorites Contest hosted by LexiVids. For this round we had to make a video on our favorite character, I was between Pacey (as he's my favorite male character) and Brooke Davis from OTH, I decided to go with Pacey because I really believe he's one the best written characters ever. My vid focuses on the struggles he faces and how he tries so hard to be better than what people expect from him but in the end he ends up believing that he's a failure and proving that he is one, this isn't the only side to Pacey but the one I focused on.
Anyways, one of the main reasons I love Pacey is because of how he's such a great friend and puts others before himself, in both of his main relationships (Andie and Joey) he would do anything to make them happy and he loved them with his whole heart, I love that about him. Also the fact that he covered his insecurities with sarcasm but in the end his walls would come undone, also the fact that he isn't really afraid of anything, he believes in things so strongly that he makes them happen. Ok, I'm just rambling on and on, I guess I could write a lot about why I love this character so much but those are my main points.

Voiceovers:

Doug: You're not satisfied with being a moron and failure, you got to add drunk to your list of credentials?

Pacey: I'm going to end up exactly where you thought I would, a complete and utter failure.

Pacey: When did you give up on me? When I was five? 10, 12? I'm sixteen years old, dad. And I'm here and I'm not perfect but I try so hard for you.

Rich: I sometimes forget how young and stupid you are.

Pacey: I didn't mean to loose your money.

Rich: You are a failure and a loser and you deserve everything...

Pacey: I feel like I'm stupid and I'm worthless and I'm never right. But you know what I realized? That it is not my fault!

Pacey: I have lost literally everything, what do you want from me, man?

Joey: Your whole life you spend so much time expecting the worst that you don't realize the moments when people are loving you.

Pacey: I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing.

Pacey: This is it for me, this is my whole life here, all I get.

Pacey: I hate that guy.
Joey: Pacey, you're not that guy.
Pacey: I feel like that guy.

Pacey: I must be an idiot, cause I cannot for the life of me figure out why I try so damn hard for you.

Teacher: You are why I teach.

Doug: Pacey, I think that you're a daring original. I think you have a talent for flying in the face of conventionalities. And I think that you were born to break the rules not enforce them, and you know what, I actually admire that in you.
