Meet the StoryBots [HD REMASTERED] (60fps) @StonerBang

StonerBang Hey guys! Here's something a bit unexpected. So I was just minding my business on the internet as usual when, out of nowhere, a bombshell of lost media got dropped. All of the introductory videos from Answer Team 341-B had just been discovered. These videos were once used in the defunct StoryBots app, "StoryBots Classroom." After the website's closure in 2019, these videos were left on the cutting room floor and didn't see another use afterward. Thankfully, 4 out of the 5 videos were archived shortly after the classroom's departure, so everyone's introductions were saved, except for one. Bo's video was the only video not to be archived like the rest, and the only video online with Bo was in such horrible quality that it made it almost unwatchable, until now.

Jeff Gill, the animator responsible for these clips, had recently found these videos on his personal backup drive, INCLUDING the ever-so elusive Bo video in perfect quality. Yes, after 5 whole years of being lost, we now have all the StoryBots introduction videos in crisp quality. Kudos to Jeff for making this possible, I seriously cannot thank you enough! His drive of all the StoryBots videos will be down below.

With that being said, I also wanted to take things a step further. I've been recently experimenting with an application called "Hybrid," which upscales footage to a much smoother frame rate. So, I wanted to test this software out on some StoryBots footage. And I gotta say, the results were beyond phenomenal. It is so surreal seeing this footage in a glossy 60fps compared to the previous 24fps. On top of that, I've also added some color-correcting to the footage, and again, the results were very glowing. I'm considering doing more upscales like this, but I'm not sure where to start, honestly. Lemme know if that's something you'd like to see in the future. Perhaps I'll do more, who knows?

StonerBang 2024-11-01 | Hello everyone! Welcome to what may possibly be the largest fan-art showcase we've had yet! A whopping 146 submissions in this one, which blows the previous Halloween showcase out of the water! I was flabbergasted by all the submissions this year. The Early/Deleted Scenes from StoryBots: Answer Time

StonerBang 2024-05-20 | Hiya! Here's the third installment of our behind-the-scene venture. This here is a compilation of all the current available deleted scenes from "StoryBots: Answer Time", as well as early versions of some scenes that were used in the show. These versions either have completely different sound effects than the final cut, some demo tracks of songs before their release, or scenes with only voice acting and no music. I've excluded any extended cuts and alternate takes of scenes, as you can view a good chuck of them already in the storyboard video. As always, I hope you enjoy it!

The Storyboards from Ask the StoryBots

StonerBang 2024-05-03 | Hey guys! Here's the second video of our behind-the-scenes journey. This is an array of storyboards/animatics belonging to the Netflix series, "Ask the StoryBots" back in 2016. This reel includes the scenes made before the animation process began. Some scenes had to use temp music and voice actors to get a gist of what the scene would look like for the final product. And some scenes were cut entirely from production and have either been replaced by a different scene, or altered from the original cut.

Of course, not every storyboard/animatic will be featured in this video, as some of them have yet to be discovered. If you have a storyboard or animatic that wasn't featured in this video, feel free to let me know either down in the comments, or message me on my other social media platforms.

Overall, I'm very grateful for the current selection of clips. And I hope this serves as a grand tribute to the wonderful team behind the amazing StoryBots. Seriously, guys, you couldn't have made a better show than this. I can't thank you enough. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy it, man!

Ask the StoryBots: Behind the Scenes

StonerBang 2024-05-01 | Hello everyone! Welcome to one of five videos posted right here to the channel regarding behind-the-scenes footage, storyboards & animatics, deleted scenes, and all the bits and pieces of lost media that we currently have at our disposal. It's lore galore!

Our first video today is a re-upload of a pre-existing video that was uploaded about a year ago. This includes all the behind-the-scenes footage from the award-winning series, "Ask the StoryBots". As well as featuring the official behind-the-scenes videos from the Netflix Jr. channel, this video also contains some newly added material, such as a demo reel made by Aron Bothman, a tutorial of Beep's Season 1 rig model, and some time-lapses of the stop-motion animations used in the show made by Max Winston.

Pure Imagination (A StoryBots Music Video) | From Wonka

StonerBang 2024-04-05 | So, it's been a long while since I got back to doing music videos again, aye? Well, say no more! Here we have the classic piece from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, "Pure Imagination", with this one being remade by Timothée Chalamet in the Wonka film in 2023. I've been a long-time fan of the Willy Wonka films. And with this new iteration just recently, I was blown away when I first saw it. That opening piece was just so magical to my ears and eyes, and I almost dropped a tear at the theater, no joke. I had the idea of a music video from that piece for quite a while now, and now I'm proud to share this one with you all. As always, I really hope you enjoy it!
