A lone P-47 Thunderbolt is pursued by a pair of ME109/Buchons, which in turn are pursued by three P-51 Mustangs, enabling the P-47 to escape. This WW2 fighter scenario was flown during the Sywell Airshow 2024.
The Buchon is an ME109 airframe built under licence in Spain. It's fitted with a Merlin engine because Germany couldn't spare Daimler Benz engines for Spain during WW2 and afterwards none were available.

6/. The Flying Bulls North American P-51D Mustang, 'Nooky Booky IV', OE-EFB, flown by Eskil Amdal.
