If your Honda throws a P0455 or P0456 EVAP code, you’ve probably heard every theory out there purge valves, hoses, vent solenoids, leaks, smoke tests, you name it.
But after fixing many Hondas with these codes, I’ve found the real culprit way more often than you’d think:
👉 Aftermarket gas caps.
They just don’t seal as tightly as the OEM ones from the dealer, and that tiny difference can trigger the same codes over and over again.
In this video, I share my real-world experience and why spending a few extra bucks on a genuine Honda cap can save you hours of frustration and false diagnoses.
Have you had this issue too? Comment below I’d love to hear your fix!
