Let’s clear that up.
This is NOT a repair for an electrical problem. This is a Honda-recommended procedure for long-term storage — in this case, a 2012 Honda Accord EX-L Sedan with only 27,000 miles that spends winters parked with no access to electricity for a battery tender.
The battery disconnect makes it easy to isolate the battery (no tools needed) to prevent the natural drain from vehicle electronics while in storage.
Turn the knob to disconnect when storing — turn it back to drive. Simple.
