Porcellio scaber ‘Lava”p’ and ‘Calico’ are the same isopod species, but are quite different! Porcellio scaber isopods are one of the most variable pet isopods. There are so many morphs and localities! Here, we compare Porcellio scaber ‘Lava” and P. scaber ‘Hobble Creek Calico’.
There are many other forms of calico in Porcellio scaber, this is just the one I happen to work with.
