I know I should be working on my B-day gifts to a couple special friends and collabs, *winks* but I could not refrain from making this! I am really, really, really, looking forward to Frozen!! Something about this movie is already making me tingle; ever since I saw one of the latest trailers that revolves around Elsa I've been enthralled in it! (And I know I'm not the only one! ;) I honestly cannot remember the last time I genuinely was anticipating a new movie! Sure of course, I look forward and enjoyed a number of movies released, like Brave, ROTG, Turbo, or Epic, but the characters, and story, particularly Elsa's have perked my interest beyond measure. With the same impatient anticipation I have when one of my video games is coming out (Which is REALLY SOON I might add!) For me that feeling is a guaranteed winner! In fact I already have a few vid ideas planned!! Which is a first not having seen it yet! (;
The music has already sold me as well but the story is most intricate to me even though I still know only very little about it, but I find myself searching for whatever news I can find on it. I copied Elsa and Anna's bios off Disney; really interested in this sister relationship they've made!!
Elsa:

Excuse me while I vent...
I was emotionally connected to this song at the start of the freshman year, and now Im bemoaning with it at the end. Im gonna be tested tomorrow [as in Monday]. Ive dreaded this day since the beginning of the semester, since starting college, and ever since I even heard of the word college for years now. All because I knew there would be this one class required to take that would drive me out of my comfort zone with a force that I cant control. Ive schemed around it after always failing, but theres no escape... Its something thats held me back my whole life; it makes me wonder why I even think I could do what I want to do, or anything, when Im so afraid of something so, natural. I dont even want to say what it is Im so ashamed. It has never been natural for me and this is just a stinging reminder of how weak and cowardly I truly am.
I just want to cry; cry until its over.... Theyll never see me cry -I have way to much pride to cry on the public stand.

Now, I dont believe in fully depressing my friends and followers with my problems and make them pity me, so lets end on some good notes: (;
Firstly, I only have little less than 3 weeks left before Im out for the summer!! (May 7th...assuming I survive) The one time, time, moves ever so slowly for me.
Secondly, despite college utterly burying me alive, it hasnt crushed my editing spirit in the least! Ive actually started 6 other vent vids (Which is really a no no since Im on hiatus) besides this when I felt like screaming over the last few weeks, but Ill probably only finish 2 of those. Thats not including the other ideas Ive come across that have the words make me! written all over em.
Thirdly, a dear friend of mine took the time this weekend and kindly offered to make me a new banner.....isnt it lovely?! (I can just brag all about it now since I didnt make it, ahehehe!) I had my old one up for a year now and I was due for an update but have just been to busy to think about it. Normally I like to make my own too, but I was so tickled by the thought and beauty of hers that I welcomed it this time. Thank you sooo much thefanvideoer2 for that!!! I love it and am so grateful for this, gift! Man, I gotta make a dedication or something for you soon because youve been so helpful to me lately. ^_^
Fourth and finally, what do ya think of my new signature? Its still a work in progress... Ill probably put it back at the bottom but I wanted to see what it looked like without that second sig over it now. (Darn you YT, make up your mind!) I made this with photoshop; had to come up with a more universal signature since for some bazaar reason my NewBlue signature (That I bought thank you) doesnt work on my laptop.

Alright, its up finally! Already Mid-January...geesh. I was tagged by the lovely thefanvideoer2 who started this tag and I just think its a wonderful idea that needs to become an annual thing now among all of us. So what are YOUR top 3 favorites??? ;)
2016 was a smorgasbord of incredibly GOOD animated movies which is one reason I REALLY enjoyed 2016. Since there was so many it was hard to show just 3 so I did a little runners up thing at the end but its just a one time thing, no one has to do it if they dont want too. I wanted to keep it under 5 mins so this wouldnt be unbearable long.
I was kinda waiting till I saw Sing before I uploaded this to give it a fair shot....Im glad I did, because it was very good IMO. Story + Heart = ♥ =D *giggles*

Now I hope you watched my top 3 before reading any further because I wanted to explain WHY #1 was #1. *shoos off* Go watch!
Zootopia was a very close second, I LOVE IT, especially going to Scotland and all!! But Finding Dory is special in a different way. Finding Nemo came out when I was just 8 years old, and I thought it was the greatest, state-of-the-art animated movie at the time! I mean it was THE BOMB in 2003 and I lived it up in every way, and the story, the characters were on-going puns and it was just such a classic in my home growing up. (It was my favorite Pixar movie till 2015 with Inside Out).
Fast forward 13 years with Finding Dory, at 21 a lots changed. Oh Ill always be a kid-at-heart when it comes to animated movies, but as you get older you loose that original child-like wonder in how you view the world - not necessarily with just movies - that makes certain things memorable and meaningful at that age. Thats not entirely a bad thing, it just means you understand things you couldnt before. You know like, maybe those parts in a movie where the adults were all laughing and the kids are looking back quizzically? But you have a more critical understanding of the story and characters that makes movies, especially animated movies, harder to enjoy. (I hate to say it but its true).
I think Finding Nemo/Dory made me realize that more easily, but thank goodness Im an animation nerd and Finding Dory was such a positive sequel. It probably helps my expectations were exceedingly low, but even the story in itself I relate to more now than the 1st (I guess being an only child with doting parents like Dorys).
I cant honestly say I like one over the other since they were each at extremely different times in my life. The age-gap makes them so unique, for me personally, but I have the feeling Im not the only one who has that same connection.
Alright enough deep stuff that hurt my brain, but since this is all about movies, I think I forgot to mention in my last vid that I FINALLY saw Star Wars Rogue One, New Years Day in IMAX. I couldnt take it any longer when I heard Carrie Fisher passed away. (Im still saddened by that whole loss) But OMG THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOD!! I knew it would be but man the visual effects, story and characters was so DEEP! OH and all those SW easter eggs killed me too; I would have never predicted that bittersweet ending. And I mean, BITTER, all bitter with a smidgen of sweetness on the very final scene. (You guys that seen it know what Im talking about right?!?) Oh that was like the cherry on top of a DARK chocolate sundae, ahehe. And I mean dark, it was a hard movie to watch but really good in a great way, ya know? (You probably dont, lol!)
Now that Ive seen Rogue One and Sing I can say farewell to 2016 since they were the last two films on my rather long watch list, LAST year. (;
